Sonia Smith is a strong and proud Kokatha songwriter and artist. With her powerful voice, music and lyrics, Sonia shares the story of her life, from rock bottom times to the Warrior Woman she is today. Delivering a unique blend of folk, blues, gospel, country and rock, Sonia shares her endless strength and resilience through truth-telling and song with all heart and soul.
Sonia celebrated producing and delivering her first Adelaide Fringe Show in the 2025 season and what a success! Backed by the Adelaide Fringe, Arts of South Australia, Music SA and the Mental Health Commissioner of South Australia, Sonia was able to live out her dream of telling her story of trauma, tragedy and addiction to triumph, healing and recovery. A story that must be told for those still suffering! A story of absolute determination, resilience and strength, Sonia shares her story through music to heal and give others hope to heal and live their best life. What next Sonia? "As the Adelaide Fringe draws to a close for 2025, I will be performing at my final three shows on the 15th, 21st and 22nd of March, and then I am taking a well earned rest from performing! I will be taking time to concentrate on my Music Mentorship, the Nexus Interplay Program, writing more music and songs, and I'll be working hard to get my very first album out to the world!
